Terpene Infused Cones and Hemp Wraps: How They Differ and What to Check Before You Buy
Terpene infused cones are pre-rolled cones whose material has been infused with terpenes, the plant compounds that carry aroma, so the cone has a flavour of its own. Hemp wraps are flat sheets of hemp that you roll yourself, and terpene infused hemp wraps carry the same kind of added flavour. The real difference lies in the format and the base material: hemp, a herbal blend or clear cellulose.
This guide compares the terpene infused cones and wraps we stock by format, base material, pack size and price per piece. It then sets out six checks to make on any listing before you buy.
What “terpene infused” means on cones and wraps
Terpenes are natural plant compounds behind many of the smells we know from flowers and fruit. A 2022 review in Frontiers in Plant Science calls them the largest group of aroma-carrying compounds that plants produce, and a main source of the scent of flowers and fruit (Mostafa et al., 2022). That close link with aroma, and so with how a product is perceived to taste, is why terpenes are used to flavour cones and wraps.
On terpene infused cones, the terpenes are added to the cone material itself, so the flavour is built in rather than added afterwards. Names such as Tropical Pulp, Candy Crunched or Berry Busted describe that intended aroma. They are flavour names, not ingredient lists. They are not standardised either: the same flavour name from two different brands does not guarantee the same aroma.
Brands describe the infusion in slightly different ways:
- G-Rollz infuses its cones with American-made terpenes.
- Wild Hemp says its wraps get their flavour from terpenes; its Natural wrap is left unflavoured.
So “terpene infused hemp wraps” and “hemp wraps flavoured with terpenes” describe the same idea. The terpenes add aroma; they do not change the base material. A flavour name tells you how a cone or wrap is meant to smell, not what else it contains. For anything beyond aroma, the manufacturer’s own information is the reference point, which is why the comparison below sticks to what each brand states about its own products.

Terpene infused cones, hemp wraps and cellulose wraps compared
The lines we stock fall into three formats:
- Pre-rolled cones arrive already shaped and are often sold as “blunt cones”.
- Hemp wraps are flat sheets made from hemp, a tobacco-free alternative to traditional blunt wraps.
- Cellulose wraps are thin, transparent sheets made from cellulose rather than paper, leaf or hemp.
| Line | Format | Base material | Flavour | Tobacco / nicotine | Pack contents |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| G-Rollz terpene infused blunt cones (Candy Crunched, Purple Haze, Mystikal Haze) | Pre-rolled cone, king size | US-grown hemp | Infused with American-made terpenes | Tobacco and nicotine free | 12 glass tubes × 2 cones = 24 cones |
| G-Rollz yerba mate & chamomile blunt cones (Berry Busted, Cream Pi, Purple Haze, Strawberry Cheesecake and others) | Pre-rolled cone, king size | Chamomile, yerba mate and a hint of cacao | Infused with terpenes | Tobacco and nicotine free | 12 glass tubes × 2 cones = 24 cones |
| Cheech & Chong cones by G-Rollz (Tropical Pulp, Blackberry OGK, Blueberry Kookies and others) | Pre-rolled cone, king size | US-grown hemp | Infused with American-made terpenes | Tobacco and nicotine free | 12 glass tubes × 2 cones = 24 cones |
| Wild Hemp hemp wraps (Natural, Sweetz, Gelato) | Flat wrap with cardboard filter tips | 100% US-grown hemp | Terpene flavours; Natural is unflavoured | Tobacco and nicotine free | 3 wraps per pouch; 20 pouches (60 wraps) per box |
| Monkey King transparent cellulose wraps | Flat wrap, king size, 108 × 44 mm | 100% natural cellulose, gum-free | Unflavoured | Tobacco free | 40 wraps per booklet; 24 booklets per box |
The infusion is not the main difference between these lines; the base material is:
- Hemp cones and hemp wraps share a hemp base. The practical difference is whether you buy them pre-formed or flat.
- The yerba mate and chamomile cones replace hemp with a herbal tea-leaf blend, designed in Amsterdam and made in Brazil. Their flavour comes from the terpene infusion on top of that blend.
- Cellulose is the clear option. Monkey King makes its clear, gum-free cellulose wraps from natural cellulose with no additives. If you are weighing a hemp wrap against a cellulose wrap, the choice comes down to material and appearance.
- No added flavour: Wild Hemp’s Natural variant is the plain option among its flat hemp wraps sold by the pouch, and a useful baseline next to the flavoured lines.

What “12 pcs”, “pouch” and “24 pack” actually mean
Pack counts are the most commonly misread detail on listings for terpene infused cones and wraps, because the number can refer to tubes, pouches, booklets or individual pieces.
- G-Rollz “12 pcs”: each box of terpene infused cones is a display of 12 air-tight glass tubes, with two cones in every tube, making 24 cones altogether. This applies to the hemp cones, the yerba mate and chamomile cones and the Cheech & Chong range.
- Wild Hemp pouch and box: each individually sealed pouch holds three wraps with filter tips, and a box holds 20 pouches, or 60 wraps in total.
- Monkey King “24 pack”: a display box of 24 booklets, each holding 40 cellulose wraps.
Once the headline count is converted to single pieces, the price per piece becomes easy to compare. These figures use our prices in October 2026, including VAT:
| Product | Price | Pieces | Price per piece |
|---|---|---|---|
| G-Rollz terpene infused cones (Candy Crunched, Purple Haze) | £22.99 | 24 cones | about £0.96 |
| Other G-Rollz terpene infused cones (Mystikal Haze, yerba mate & chamomile, Cheech & Chong) | £23.95 | 24 cones | about £1.00 |
| Wild Hemp single pouch | £2.00 | 3 wraps | about £0.67 |
| Wild Hemp box of 20 pouches | £32.00 | 60 wraps | about £0.53 |
| Monkey King cellulose wraps, 24 booklets | £11.99 | 960 wraps | about £0.01 |
Price per piece is only part of the picture. A pre-rolled cone saves the rolling step and arrives in a protective tube, while a flat wrap or a cellulose sheet costs less per piece but asks more of the buyer.
Choosing between terpene infused cones, hemp wraps and cellulose
Each format suits a different priority:
- Choose terpene infused cones if you want a ready shape, a built-in flavour and packaging that protects each piece. G-Rollz and the Cheech & Chong range come two to a sealed glass tube.
- Choose the yerba mate and chamomile cones if you want a pre-rolled cone without a hemp base.
- Choose terpene infused hemp wraps if you prefer a flat sheet and the flexibility it gives, with a choice of flavoured or Natural.
- Choose cellulose wraps if you want a clear, unflavoured, gum-free sheet and the lowest price per piece.
What to check before you buy
Flavour is usually the first thing a listing shows, but it says the least about the product. These six checks tell you more:

- Base material. Terpene infused cones can be hemp or a herbal blend, and wraps can be hemp or cellulose. The base shapes the character of the product more than the flavour name does.
- The tobacco and nicotine statement. All the lines above are tobacco-free; the G-Rollz and Wild Hemp ranges are also nicotine-free. Check for both on any other wrap you consider.
- What the pack count refers to. Tubes, pouches, booklets or pieces, as set out above, and the resulting price per piece.
- Size. The G-Rollz cones and Monkey King wraps are king size, and Monkey King gives exact dimensions (108 × 44 mm). If size matters to you, look for a measurement rather than a size name alone.
- How the flavour is described. A flavour name tells you the intended aroma. A brand that explains where its terpenes come from gives you more to go on than one that lists a flavour alone.
- Packaging and storage. Freshness depends on how the product is packed:
- G-Rollz terpene infused cones come in air-tight glass tubes.
- Wild Hemp pouches are individually sealed, and Wild Hemp recommends storing its wraps at roughly 16–32°C (60–90°F) in a low-humidity area.
- Keep booklets and anything opened dry, away from heat and in their original packaging.

Frequently asked questions
What are terpene infused cones?
Terpene infused cones are pre-rolled cones whose material has been infused with terpenes to give it an aroma and flavour of its own. The G-Rollz ranges we stock are king size and come two to a glass tube.
How many cones are in a 12-piece box of G-Rollz cones?
What is the difference between a blunt cone and a hemp wrap?
Terpene infused cones, like other blunt cones, are pre-rolled and arrive already shaped. A hemp wrap is a flat sheet that you roll yourself. Both can be flavoured with terpenes. What separates them is format, and sometimes base material: not every cone is made from hemp.
Are all G-Rollz cones made from hemp?
No. The G-Rollz terpene infused blunt cones and the Cheech & Chong cones are made from US-grown hemp. The yerba mate and chamomile range uses a blend of chamomile, yerba mate and a hint of cacao instead.
What are cellulose wraps made of?
Monkey King’s transparent wraps are made from 100% natural cellulose, with no additives and no gum. They come 40 to a booklet, at 108 × 44 mm.
How should I store cones and wraps?
Keep them sealed until use. G-Rollz cones come in air-tight glass tubes, and Wild Hemp wraps come in individually sealed pouches; Wild Hemp recommends roughly 16–32°C (60–90°F) in a low-humidity area. Keep booklets of wraps dry and away from heat.
